We all know that these days there are many different types of bikes available in the market. Some are mountain bikes, meant for the purpose of off-road biking sports while others are BMX and pavement or the road bikes as they are called.
These bikes again are further distributed into categories as per their purpose of use, like the comfort and hybrid bikes are meant for daily commuting. All these bikes are designed while keeping their actual utility in mind.
But people sometimes use them differently as per their desires. This in case of mountain bikes being used on roads is OK, but using road bikes in mountain bike roles can be harmful to both the bike and the biker.
Similarly, racing bikes are sometimes used as commuters by people. This does not hurt either of them but as a matter of fact, decreases the traveling time as racing bikes are pretty efficient as long as they are used on the road and pavements.
These racers are made so efficient because they are actually used in road racing which requires a lot of speed and for this, they are designed that way.
These bikes have an ultra-lightweight frame which is usually made of lighter materials like carbon fiber and is given ultra-thin shape. This helps in keeping the weight of the bike to the minimum.
The bike is shaped in such a manner that when a rider strides it he or she adopts an aerodynamic shape in unison with the bike. This reduces the air resistance factor that affects speed.
These bikes have the least number of parts. That is only the most necessary parts are installed to keep the weight of the bike less. The parts installed are usually very light in weight and serve their purpose in the best way.
In most of cases these bikes are delicate as compared to other bikes but highly efficient in running on the road.
